ROMILDAMOR is a human rights organisation, working to provide survivors of trafficking holistic access to services and therapy so that they may readjust into society.

This International Women's Day, on the 8th of March 2022, ROMILDAMOR in association with King's College London will be holding a documentary screening on the subject of "Survivor Stories", highlighting the journeys and experiences of the women and men who've survived this ordeal.

Parosha Chandran, Professor of Practice in Modern Slavery Law at the Dickson Poon School of Law, an expert advisor on human trafficking law for the United Nations and the Council of Europe, will join us for a speaker session following the screening. Ms. Chandran will be highlighting the lived experiences of victims of modern slavery in her address, with special focus on 'intersectionality' and 'human trafficking laws' currently in place in the UK. She will also discuss her recent high profile case on human trafficking and the non-punishment principle in the ECHR - V.C.L. and A.N. v the United Kingdom., which has set a precedent for human rights cases across the globe.

We will follow this session with a Q&A, and refreshments. The event will be held at University College London (UCL), in the Harry Massie Lecture Theatre and held in collaboration with The Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London.

This event is kindly sponsored by sponsored by Dees Basement, Friendly Soap, Tribe Foundation and UCL.
