How can the creation, rendering, and experiencing of heartbeat data and cardiovascular research be done in ways that are distinctly feminist?

Careful Whisper collaborators Anne Pollock (Global Health and Social Medicine, King’s College London) and Nina Wakeford (Art, Goldsmiths) will be in conversation about with Nassim Parvin (Information, University of Washington) about the past, present, and future of inquiry into “heart feminism.”

Nassim Parvin’s visit to London will be an opportunity to reflect on the roots of this interdisciplinary endeavour in a previous iteration at Georgia Tech – heart.gatech.edu – as well as on the current sound installation in the Takeover Space of Science Gallery London, and potential future directions that creative practice engagements with cardiovascular data and science.

This event will take place in Science Gallery London's Takeover Space, on the ground floor of the gallery.
