First-Gen Futures

Bush House North East Wing, Strand Campus, London

Join the Department of English for this live podcast event showcasing the career pathways of professionals who identified as “First-Generation” students: those who belonged to the first generation in their family to go to university.

Featuring a live panel, our speakers come from a range of fields relevant to Arts and Humanities degrees, such as journalism, publishing, academia and the charity/third sector, giving students insight into different career journeys, networking opportunities, and ideas on developing their own employability skills.

This event also celebrates the success and strengths of First-Gen students within the world and work, particularly in relation to Arts and Humanities fields.

The event will be recorded in the form of a video podcast which will be available as a long-term resource for King's students.
