Dr Brian Baumbusch will talk about the process of designing and creating the first ever 'interactive 3D album' called "Polytempo Music" which was released in August 2024 as a VR app for Meta Quest as well as a mobile app for iOS and Android. Baumbusch will discuss his method of designing "spatial audio animation" for which he now holds a provisional patent. He will also talk about the implications of creating an interactive listening experience that offers both "passive" and "interactive" states, and how these states affect the listener's relationship with the music.
