AI: The means to an end or a means to the end? with Stephen Fry

King's Building, Strand Campus, London

"AI is already both thrilling and chilling. Where will it lead, and who will lead it? Tech titans? Elected politicians? Dictators? Philosophers? A cat seems to be out of the bag, a cat that can outrun anyone."

The Inaugural lecture for the new Living Well With Technology series from the Digital Futures Institute begins 12 Sept at King’s.

The public lecture AI: The means to an end or a means to the end? will be delivered by actor, author, broadcaster and comedian Stephen Fry - followed by a conversation between Stephen Fry and 13th President of Bell Labs and global innovation strategist, Dr Marcus Weldon.

The Digital Futures Institute brings together expertise from across all disciplines to forge a better relationship between the individual and technology. The Institute reframes what have typically been considered technical challenges – to be solved through technical fixes – as human and social challenges requiring innovative ways of knowing, responding, and making. We help build a future that is more conducive to living well with technology.
