The Centre of European Law is delighted to co-convene the 5th Young European Law Scholars Conference, which is taking place at the University of Innsbruck, Austria, on Friday 3rd June.

The topic of the conference this year is “Reforming the EU Treaties.”

The YELS conference will provide 10 young EU law scholars with an opportunity to present their work and to engage in discussed on reforming the EU Treaties.

As has become customary at the YELS conference, young EU scholars will also receive individualised written and oral feedback on their papers from a distinguished, senior European law scholar. Following the conference, there will be an opportunity for those presenting at the conference to publish their finalised paper with a leading academic publishing house in Europe.

This year’s Keynote Address is made by Kenneth A Armstrong from University of Cambridge, and is titled ‘Normative Drift – Why Primary Law Really Matters’.
