King’s is the most central university in London and includes four Thames-side campuses between the Houses of Parliament and London Bridge.

Our facilities include impressive library services, sports facilities, clubs and societies, childcare, choirs and high quality catering. There is also the opportunity to book university accommodation in central London.

Library services

King’s six campus libraries offer over 1.2 million books and ebooks, more than 60,000 journals, reference tools, statistical data, official publications, maps, music scores, multimedia resources, photographs and manuscripts.

Our unique Archives and Special Collections hold 5 million items of international standing. Our information specialists provide tailored subject support and training courses in information skills and bibliographic software. We participate in schemes allowing access to the collections of other libraries including the British Library and Senate House Library.

Accommodation

Short term accommodation is available to King’s staff and visiting academics. The University of London Housing Services also has flats available to academics for short and long-term use.

Chaplaincy and prayer rooms

The Chaplaincy team is a pastoral resource for the whole King’s community. There are facilities for prayer and quiet reflection at all our campuses for staff of all faiths.

Choir

The Staff Choir is open to all King’s staff and no experience is necessary. We have a fantastic professional choir master who brings out the best in all our singers with songs from old classics to present day pieces.

IT

All staff receive a King’s email address and secure access to the university’s intranet for working on campus and remotely. Our IT Service desk provides support 24/7, 365 days a year. We provide free software such as five copies of Microsoft 365 for your personal devices. Our Software Hub offers free software to support education, research and work and there are free online guides and courses on getting the most out of your King’s IT.

Sport at King’s

King’s Sport aims for King’s to be the most active university in London. We run social sports sessions through our BeActive programme, promote exercise to improve mental health in the Active Wellness Scheme, support elite athletes and operate three gyms across the campuses.

Events

We run a variety of events throughout the year.
