Find Singhasari Special Economic Zone

About

Our partnership with the Singhasari Special Economic Zone focuses on the delivery of King's master's programmes in Digital Economies and Digital Futures.

Set on the edge of the city of Malang with views of the local volcano, Mount Arjuna, the campus features five seminar rooms and a lecture hall, along with social spaces and a faculty area. It is supported by state-of-the-art IT/AV facilities. A second phase will see the addition of student accommodation and further teaching spaces.

Students learn via a combination of in-person seminars, workshops and online webinars, and their learning is supported by the rich resources of our managed learning environment. This hybrid approach gives flexibility to working professionals who are undertaking the course as part of their work.

King's is the first Russell Group university to provide place-based transnational education in Indonesia. Professor Shitij Kapur, Vice-Chancellor of King’s College London, said about the launch of the partnership:

We are immensely proud to be the first Russell Group University to be delivering programmes in Indonesia. This innovative, collaborative way of working will help meet the needs of the future by developing global expertise on digital transformation for and of society. I would like to thank the Indonesian Government for their support of the programme.

Students at the Singhasari Special Economic Zone campus come from across Indonesia, and include employees of state-owned enterprises and civil servants from the provincial government of East Java.
