Changing the world, one discovery at a time

Be at the forefront of scientific research.

Our scientists have discovered a new way to simulate rotating black holes in the lab, enabling them to see in greater detail how they behave and interact with their surroundings. This breakthrough could could test our understanding of space, time and matter.

Using enzymes from laundry detergent to recycle single-use plastics

Bioplastics, such as those used in coffee cups, often end up in the landfill because they take too long to break down. King’s scientists have developed a faster and more efficient process for recycling plastics, that creates a higher-value product for re-use.
