At King’s we don’t just use your grades to assess your application. We recognise that not everyone has the same educational journey and that some students have had to overcome challenges to achieve their grades.
If you have experienced certain barriers which make it harder for you to achieve a course’s standard entry requirements, we will take this into consideration.
We use the information you provide on your UCAS application. This means that it is mostly automatic, and you usually do not have to do anything. If you are care experienced, it’s important that you tick the care-experienced box as part of your UCAS application. You can find question care experience in the ‘Diversity and inclusion’ section of your UCAS hub. If you tick the box, our admissions team will be in touch to let you know what to do next.
If you are estranged from your family, are a forced migrant or have unpaid caring responsibilities, you can let us know by ticking the box (or boxes) in the ‘More about you’ section of your UCAS hub. You will then receive a message through King’s apply to upload evidence of your situation, and we can then include your lived experiences when considering your application.
We will automatically get the other factors (postcode and school information) from your application.
Please read all of the information on this page before entering your details into the eligibility checker.
