Important note for students already in possession of a degree:

Both new and existing undergraduate students who have previously completed an honours degree at either a UK or an overseas institution will be ineligible for the following:

• Student Loan for Fees;
• Maintenance Grant;
• Student Loan for Maintenance (unless you are undertaking a course leading to a professional qualification in medicine, dentistry, nursing, midwifery or dietetics, or are in receipt of a means-tested NHS Bursary).

Students undertaking any of the courses below will be eligible for help with tuition fees as laid out in the tables:

Students on 4 year Graduate/Professional Entry Medical/Dental Programmes:

* please note that existing students who started in 2016 or earlier will be liable for £9,000 fees not £9,250.

Graduate Students on standard 5/6 year Medical/Dental programmes:

Graduate students entering the above degree programmes, will not be eligible for any help with tuition fees until their fifth year of study. This means that they must be self-funding for the first 4 years of their degree programme. From the fifth year of study onwards, the NHS will cover fees up to £3,465, and students will be eligible to apply for a student loan for fees to meet the remaining fee.

Students studying to be teachers are exempt from the previous study rules and will remain entitled to the full package of support for their new course.
