This joint honours mathematics and philosophy degree offers a wide range of philosophy modules - from pre- Socrates to the present day - and has teaching strengths in philosophy of mind, philosophy of science and the history of philosophy. The mathematics element gives students a foundation in many branches of mathematics, including algebra, analysis, probability and geometry. Students on the Mathematics & Philosophy with a Year Abroad BSc will spend their third year studying abroad before returning to complete a final year with King’s. Students on the three year course may transfer to the four year Mathematics & Philosophy with a Year Abroad BSc. Women in STEM Scholarship The Faculty funds a scholarship for female undergraduate applicants, as part of its commitment to increasing the representation of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
