Through the scheme (part of the NUS Green Impact) King’s has embedded environmental and social sustainability across the university. Staff are empowered to make positive changes within and beyond their own work environments. The scheme is modelled on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our social mobility and widening participation strategy is aligned with three of them:
For the last three years, our department has received gold accreditation for our sustainability work. Widening participation actions linked to SDGs 4, 10 and 17 are also included in the accreditation process for all sustainability teams. This means that across King’s widening participation sustainability actions are carried out.
