Pupils are taught metacognitive skills to help their preparation for secondary school. They also complete activities such as timetabling and resilience building strategies to support their transition to year 7. Parental engagement is also a key part of the programme.
We have partnered with three local primary schools. These primary schools are the main feeder schools to our Key Stage 3 programme King’s Scholars. We aim to work with the same students from years 6-11 as much as possible.
• St George’s Cathedral Catholic Primary School
• St John’s Catholic Primary School
• St James the Great
The programme runs during the summer term where sessions are delivered in school by staff and student ambassadors. Parents are invited to a graduation event and the annual Scholars Family Day.
