Social Mobility & Widening Participation
Discover more about Social Mobility & Widening Participation at King's.
A tutoring and revision programme for year 10 and 11 pupils delivered in partnership with tutoring provider Team Up. Scholars+ supports pupils to achieve the GCSE grades needed to make competitive applications to high tariff universities. The programme aims to increase the number of underrepresented students attending university by narrowing the attainment gap at secondary school.
Parental engagement is a key part of the programme. It also completes our pre-16 pipeline of Scholars programmes, that offer continuous support from year 6 through to year 11.
Scholars+ currently works with four local secondary schools, giving priority to students who meet eligibility criteria and have been part of our Key Stage 3 programme King’s Scholars.
Tutoring is currently delivered throughout the year via an online platform used by Team Up. Revision and summer schools are delivered in-schools and on the King’s campuses.
