The Department of European & International Studies offers you the chance to explore the economic, political, social and cultural dimensions of key contemporary issues, ranging from European integration and globalisation to the financial crisis and its effects on our economies and everyday lives.
We produce world-leading research in the fields of European studies, European politics and International Political Economy. We have a wide range of expertise from modern languages and critical theory to political science, international political economy and heterodox economics. Through the activities of our research groups, we provide specific expertise in research designed to understand crisis and the limitations of European and global order.
