There are a variety of options available for postgraduate students wishing to add an international aspect to their degree at King's. 

All postgraduate students are eligible to apply for summer exchange programmes with our partner universities. Please refer our global summer experience webpages for further information. 

Current postgraduate research students can undertake a period of research abroad, subject to approval from their supervisor, Head of Department at King's and an academic supervisor at the host university.

Discussing study plans with your supervisor and Head of Department at King's, as well as arranging a supervisor at your host university are the responsibility of the student, however the Global Mobility Office are happy to answer any queries you may have.

When you have finalised your placement details with both your department at King's and the host university, please ensure you send an email to studyabroad@kcl.ac.uk so that your study abroad activity can be recorded.

Postgraduate taught students on the European Studies MA (French or German pathway) may spend a study period at a partner university within their degree. Please refer to the relevant programme for further details. Please visit our options by destination webpages to find out more about the institutions on offer after having browsed the options below.

In some instances, MA/MSc students on other programmes may be able to spend a period abroad during their dissertation semester. They are advised to seek approval from their department in the first instance before contacting the Global Mobility team.

European Studies MA students:

• Students on the French pathway can study at Sciences Po Paris in the second semester.

• Students on the German pathway can study at Humboldt University Berlin in the second semester.
