Outgoing study abroad opportunities
Discover what options and destinations are available to King's students.
Current students on the BA Philosophy programme have the opportunity to study abroad in the second semester of their second year (remaining on a 3-year programme), or add a third year abroad (switching to a 4-year programme), at one of many destinations. Students on the BSc Mathematics & Philosophy programme follow the Philosophy destinations and study abroad for their third year, returning to King's for their final (fourth) year. Students on the BSc Physics & Philosophy programme follow the Physics destinations. Students on the BA/BSc Philosophy, Politics & Economics degree (PPE) should see the notes regarding their options under Political Economy.
If you'd like to study at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven please make note of the following: Teaching in English available.
If you would like to study at the University of Toronto, please note this is only an option for the full year abroad.
If you'd like to study at the below institutions please make note of the following: Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München: Teaching in English available. Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin: Teaching in English is available at the Philosophy department at the Humboldt, but students are recommended to have A2 German to be able to better engage.
If you'd like to study at the below institutions please make note of the following: University of California: Philosophy modules at UC that are equivalent to King's level 5 and 6 are not guaranteed, particularly at Berkeley, so students should be flexible with their module selection there. University of Chicago: Full year students only.
