About the Institution
Ritsumeikan's existence dates back to 1869, however, it celebrated 110 years as a university in 2010. Today it offers a wide range of courses at its Kinugasa Campus in Kyoto and Biwako-Kusatsu Campus (BKC) in Shiga. With 49,000 students from over 50 countries, Ritsumeikan provides a rich culture of individuality and international awareness. There are 13 colleges and 2 integrated institutes at undergraduate level including Social Sciences, Policy Sciences, International Relations, Economics and Business Administration.
