Start your academic journey with Academic Skills workshops, designed with a range of resources, activities and guidance to enable you to succeed in your studies at King’s.
From developing your academic writing skills to working in groups and public speaking, Academic Skills has a wide range of workshops tailored to meet all your academic needs.
This year, Academic Skills workshops are revamped with the following
- Lecture-style introductory workshop on key topics
- Smaller, focused sessions where you can bring your own work for personalised feedback
Additionally, Academic Skills now offers paired workshops such as ‘Your Guide’ and ‘Your Practice’. ‘Your Guide’ sessions provide broader tutoring support with larger classes and fewer exercises, while ‘Your Practice’ workshops give you the opportunity to apply and demonstrate your skills. These sessions run in consecutive weeks in the same time slot.
How to register?
Academic Skills workshops run throughout the year. Register for these workshops through skills forge.
