Do you want to build on your skills and explore a sector of interest? The Student Opportunity Fund (SOF) is here to support you.
What is it?
The SOF grants students funding to undertake educational projects or initiatives and help transform their future career and study aspirations.
Funding can be up to £500 for individuals and £1000 for groups.
Examples of how grants may be used include:
- Volunteering
- Research Projects
- Courses
- Conferences
- Internships
- Summer Schools (external)
We particularly welcome projects that promote awareness of race equality and inclusion in the workplace.
Who is eligible?
The SOF is open to all undergraduate and taught postgraduate students.
Applications from underrepresented backgrounds at King's are particularly welcome.
We have ringfenced 20% of the funding specifically for Black students, including from Black African, Black Caribbean, Black Other and Black Mixed backgrounds, to address the specific disadvantages some students face.
How do I apply?
Apply through the application form via King’s CareerConnect. You will need to create an account if you don't already have one.
Please read the Programme Regulations before applying.
Applications close Sunday 6 November 2022 at midnight.
