We are creating the conditions needed to stimulate new innovation by investing in people, infrastructure and research. This transformative investment will deepen our academic excellence as we launch boundary-breaking research centres that connect scientific disciplines.

A major priority is investing in and recruiting new research staff to strengthen areas of excellence, expand into new strategic research areas and provide a bridge between health and science research. This will be underpinned by professional services staff recruitment to provide technical services, research development and education programme management. As we recruit new talent, we are focused on enhancing our staff diversity, whilst also recruiting people who exemplify our interdisciplinary objectives.

Significant investment across our estate will create technologically advanced science research and teaching spaces. This will be delivered at pace by transforming under-used areas to enable rapid expansion across our central London estate.
