STORY study: Characterising Illness Stages and Recovery Trajectories of Eating Disorders in Young People
STORY is the first large-scale longitudinal study using RMT to investigate illness and recovery trajectories of eating disorders in young people across illness durations and diagnoses. The generated evidence will provide valuable insight into the biopsychosocial predictors of outcome, their interplay with developmental and sociocultural changes, and barriers and facilitators of recovery in young people with eating disorders.
Ultimately, these insights will be a key step in informing the development of more personalised prevention, early intervention and treatment efforts that will disrupt the long-term burden of eating disorders on patients and healthcare providers.
