Our lab is dedicated to exploring and advancing prenatal therapy and pregnancy immunology. Our team conducts innovative research emphasising understanding and treating sickle cell disease (SCD) through prenatal interventions.
Combating this debilitating disease at the earliest possible stage could lead to improved outcomes and a better quality of life for patients.
In parallel, our team deeply investigates the immunology of pregnancy, emphasising the role of regulatory T cells (Tregs) in pregnancy outcomes. We aim to decode the complex immunological dynamics of pregnancy and its implications for maternal and fetal health. Our findings underscore the critical role of Tregs in maintaining a balanced immune environment conducive to a successful pregnancy.
