The preterm birth studies group was established in 2012, and comprises women and their partners who have an interest in providing advice to researchers about preterm birth research.
The group is able to support any King’s researcher developing research applications on studies relating preterm birth by:
- Reviewing application documents, including lay summaries
- Assessing project relevance to people's lived experience
- Advising on participant recruitment
- Designing PPI/E plans
The group meets twice a year, with email contact requesting advice/input between meetings.
As the group is not funded, we ask researchers to consider reimbursing members for their time supporting applications whenever possible.
Researchers connecting with the group are expected to keep them updated on grant progress and funding outcomes.
