Industry Partnerships is the University's dedicated service for fostering research collaborations between King's academics and the private sector.
We provide support across scales and disciplines, and throughout the engagement lifecycle. From identifying opportunities and bringing together potential partners, to shaping optimal collaboration models, closing agreements and managing long-term strategic relationships.
Our team can work closely with interested companies, understand their needs and challenges, and help them navigate effectively King's expertise landscape. Equally, we can support our academics in their existing, or sought after, interactions with industry and help establish sustainable partnerships with Corporates and SMEs.
Industry Partnerships is the go-to service for both internal staff and external companies keen on collaborating and utilising academic research to solve real-life problems.

Rachel has 30 years of biomedical health research experience within academia, industry and academic-industry strategic research partnerships and brings over 6 years of experience managing teams of multi-disciplinary R&D, contracting and business development professionals. In this time Rachel has successfully initiated, developed and managed a range of research collaborations from individual research knowledge-sharing events through to multi-million pound large strategic partnerships.

Yiannis has 25 years of research experience in the physical sciences working with universities and R&D organisations in the UK, France, Spain and Germany. His recent roles include business development and research management at the Open University and promoting industry-academic partnerships in the technology sector at Strategic Allies Ltd. He has also worked for a London fintech startup in digital product development. Yiannis has a degree in physics (University of Thessaloniki) and a PhD in astrophysics (University College London).
