At King’s, we’re building an innovation ecosystem for our research community, partners and funders that accelerates economic impact and creates successful ventures.

King’s offers three accelerators to support students, researchers and staff to launch a spinout or startup. Each accelerator has a competitive application process.
If you’re uncertain which programme to apply to, you can get advice from King’s Entrepreneurship Institute at ei@kcl.ac.uk or speak with your IP & Licensing Manager.
This 12-month accelerator is offered by King’s Entrepreneurship Institute to future startup founders across King’s who own their own intellectual property.
King’s Entrepreneurship Institute also runs this 12-month spinout programme dedicated to supporting the translation of inventions, born from ground-breaking research across King’s College London.
King’s MedTech Accelerator is a six-month part-time programme run by the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering for aspiring entrepreneurs in medical devices, including medical software and AI.
London Institute for Healthcare Engineering’s MedTech Venture Builder is a 12-month programme that helps accelerate the translation of promising medical technologies into robust, investment-ready healthcare ventures.
The programme is open to King’s College London’s community, as well as Queen Mary University of London, City University of London and St George's University of London.
