Evaluation of DFN Project Search

The Youth Futures Foundation (YFF) has commissioned the Policy Institute to conduct a feasibility study on the DFN Project SEARCH Supported Internship Programme, which aims to help young people with learning difficulties and/or autism access sustainable employment opportunities.

This feasibility study uses a mixed-methods approach to assess whether a full-scale impact evaluation is viable. Through a combination of interviews, observations, surveys, and analysis of administrative data, the Policy Institute will determine the feasibility of conducting either a Randomised Controlled Trial or a quasi-experimental design within the context of the programme. If feasible, the study will identify the necessary next steps for estimating the causal impact of the supported internships on young people's behaviour and employability.
