The Department of Nutritional Sciences aims to provide world class education to students enrolled on our programmes in Nutrition & Dietetics and to continually strive for excellence by undertaking education research. We adopt an interdisciplinary, collaborative ethos to explore education research priorities in the disciplines and actively seek to contribute to education policy and practice. Our work includes exploring educational strategies to foster vital expertise for future nutrition and dietetics professionals such as research and communication skills. We also develop and evaluate innovative methods of education including peer-assisted learning models for practice education and interprofessional education. We aim to lead research on emerging themes in nutrition and dietetics education including digital health, sustainability and culinary nutrition.
