Cultures in Motion: Migration and Diaspora Studies is a forum dedicated to exploring global cultures and how they are shaped by migration and the transnational activities of diasporic groups. This collaborative research cluster aims to address contemporary challenges around race, gender, language and migration.
Cultures in Motion brings together knowledge and expertise from across the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures. In so doing, it foregrounds the cultural and political dimensions of transnational migration and settlement. Through their work, researchers aim to foster dialogue between migration studies and diaspora studies, thereby contributing significantly to the existing body of multidisciplinary scholarship in both fields.
