Your motivation to take part
As a medical professional, entrepreneurship is an area that is foreign to me. It is not commonly taught in medical curricula nor is it often encouraged. We are meant to graduate and start working in a hospital, or private practice, or go into research. Yet, I believe medical professionals are uniquely placed at the nexus of opportunity and expertise to solve modern healthcare problems. This is why I was excited to participate in Venture Crawl.
Your goals for the day
I hoped to gain an understanding of the essentials of being an entrepreneur, where to start and how to succeed. Venture Crawl did not disappoint!
Your Venture Crawl highlight
Meeting alumni founders from King’s. I was able to hear from other young people like me, who have taken their vision of an idea, made it a reality and been successful. Hearing their experiences taught me to persevere; that every stage of the process is important as long as you keep moving forward and working towards your vision.
Your advice for future Venture Crawl participants
