Biography
Dr Zongyao Zhang is a Research Associate in the Department of Chemistry, King's College London, in the Cobb Group.
His current research is about polypeptide foldamers based on unnatural amino acids. His other research interests involve a wide range of synthetic chemistry, including anion recognition and sensing, coordination polymers, self-assembly chemistry, homogeneous catalysis and electrocatalysis.
Prior to this appointment, Dr Zongyao Zhang received his DPhil degree on water-soluble anion receptors from the University of Oxford, supervised by Professor Paul Beer. He received his BSc and MSc degrees from the Renmin University of China in Beijing, supervised by Professor Rui Cao and Professor Lijin Xu.

To date, Zongyao has published 37 research papers and reviews with a h-index of 20.
