Biography
Zijun Xu is a PhD student in Language, Discourse & Communication at King's College London. She holds an MA in Language and Culture Diversity from KCL and a BA in Chinese-English Translation and Interpretation from Macao Polytechnic University.
Prior to her PhD, she worked for a PR agency responsible for brand‘s social media development. Currently, Zijun's main research interests include social media, online communication, language and power, gender studies, discourse analysis and narrative analysis.
Thesis Title: Chinese migrant mothers living in UK: identities negotiation on WeChat groups through small stories
