Biography
Xinyi Yin is a PhD student in Chinese Studies at the Lau China Institute. Her research explores the political, socio-cultural, and economic challenges of Lying-Flat/躺平.
She focuses on the educational journey of urban educated youth after the ban on the private tutoring industry in China, using the unequal mobility within the Chinese higher education system as a case study.
