Biography

Xiaoyang Li is a Research Assistant at King’s College London, contributing to the Clinical Research Network on Artificial Intelligence in Nursing (AI-NURSES) under the supervision of Dr Siobhán O'Connor. She is also a PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh, where her doctoral research explores the lived experiences of caregivers of people with dementia in rural care homes in China, utilising Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA).

Xiaoyang has extensive experience in qualitative and systematic reviews, with expertise in dementia care, healthcare ethics, and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in healthcare education. In addition to her role at KCL, she is also a Research Assistant at the University of Edinburgh, working for the EDI in simulation-based healthcare education as part of a Principal’s Teaching Award Scheme (PTAS) project.
