Tyler Hughes is a Postgraduate Researcher in the Department of Chemistry, King’s College London, based within the Chemistry Education division. Tyler’s current research focuses on the analysis and improvement of undergraduate preparation for teaching laboratory sessions.

Tyler joined King’s in 2022 following the completion of his MChem at the University of York in 2021. During his Master’s year, Tyler’s work focused on exploring the liquid crystal properties of a series of mesogens. Before joining King’s, following his undergraduate studies, Tyler worked as a Teaching Laboratory Facilitator in the Department of Chemistry at the University of York.
