Biography
Susana was awarded a MSci in Chemistry with Biomedicine at King's College London. She carried out her master's research project under the supervision of Dr Alex Brogan, and worked on the construction of solvent-free liquid proteins for the degradation of polylactic acid.
Susana re-joined the Brogan Group through the BiPAS CDT, and is currently working on new protein-based materials for industrial and biomedical applications. Using biophysical techniques like circular dichroism, dynamic light scattering and UV-Vis, she is studying the structure of different proteins at extreme conditions for the creation of new biomaterials.
