Biography
Stella Christou is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Dr Hannah Mischo's lab, studying the Transcription Termination and Polyadenylation mechanisms in yeast and the human fungal pathogen Candida albicans. Stella completed her PhD at the University of Sheffield under the supervision of Prof Kathryn Ayscough and Dr Simon Johnston, studying the host-pathogen interactions of Candida albicans with the human host.
Research
Mischo Lab
The Mischo Lab studies how gene expression can be controlled through the modulation of transcription termination.
RNA Biology
RNA is at the forefront of biomedical research for its central role in how information is transferred from DNA to protein. This Research Interest Group is open to all interested parties from across the University.
