Ms Sharon Watty

Biography
Sharon Watty has worked at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital for over 20 years with 13 years in ultrasonography. Sharon is a Masters graduate from Kings College London where she is also an honorary lecturer and assessor. Sharon is proficient in obstetrics, gynaecology, and general medical ultrasound. Her current role in Practice Education involves facilitating and teaching the practical and theoretical ultrasound skills needed to develop our current workforce including trainee sonographers, radiologists, and other clinicians. Sharon leads the SEL ultrasound training academy at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital, in collaboration with the London Imaging Academy, expanding the clinical skill and delivery of ultrasound education across London. Sharon is a founding member of the BMUS Special interest group for practice education.
