Research Associate in Computational Cardiology

Biography

Shaheim Ogbomo-Harmitt holds a BEng in Biomedical Engineering and an MRes in Biomedical and Translational Sciences from King’s College London (KCL), where he was awarded the prestigious KCL Medical Research Council Doctoral Training Programme studentship. His PhD focused on advancing artificial intelligence, medical imaging, and biophysical modelling to inform therapy for atrial fibrillation. During his doctoral studies, Shaheim undertook a three-month science policy internship at the Academy of Medical Science, contributed as a member of the wellbeing workstream for the KCL Success for Black Engineers project, and served as the Postgraduate Research Student Representative for the KCL School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences. His current research aims to develop a computational decision-support system for managing atrial fibrillation, leveraging both biophysical modelling and artificial intelligence.
