Biography
Samuel joined the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care as a part-time Research Assistant in 2024. He works with Dr Jane Chudleigh on a project to co-design strategies for supporting parents in the first 12 months following their child's sickle cell diagnosis. The project is a collaboration between Kings College London and the Sickle cell Society, and is funded by the British Academy.
Samuel is an experienced registered general nurse with expertise in various specialties in the NHS and the private sector. He is a clinical research nurse in non-malignant haematology. Leading the delivery of clinical research in rare haematologic disorders such as sickle cell disease, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, immune thrombocytopenia, haemolytic anaemia, and bleeding disorders.
He holds a Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice with distinction from Liverpool John Moores University. During his masters he was awarded the Advanced Clinical Practice learner of year 2024, due to his commitment to research and academic excellence. He has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valley View University, Ghana.
