Biography
Professor Raphael Woolf did his BA at Cambridge and his graduate study at King's, receiving his PhD in 1997. He held one-year positions at King's and Liverpool and then taught for seven years in the Harvard University philosophy department, with a sabbatical in 2002-03 at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton.
Research interests and PhD supervision
- Ancient philosophy, especially Plato, Aristotle and Hellenistic philosophy
Prof Woolf works mainly in ancient philosophy and has published on Plato, Aristotle and Hellenistic philosophy.
Prof Woolf welcomes applications from prospective students seeking supervision in areas connected to his research interests.
