Biography
Phoebe joined KCL in late 2022 as a Research Assistant for the LonDownS project and Horizon 21 study, which focus on biomarkers and risk factors for the early development of Alzheimer’s in people with Down Syndrome. Prior to this, Phoebe obtained a BA in Behavioural Neuroscience from Connecticut College and an MSc in Translational Neuroscience from Imperial College London.
Phoebe previously worked as a Research Assistant for the Centre for Perinatal Neuroscience at Imperial for 3 years. Her work focused on using magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy biomarkers to prognosticate cognitive outcomes in newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.

Expertise and Public Engagement
Phoebe Ivain has been a volunteer biology tutor for the Access Project since 2021. The Access Project aims to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities through tuition and in-school mentoring.
