Biography
Panagiota holds a bachelor's degree in English Language and Culture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and a master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and ELT from St Mary’s University, Twickenham, London. In 2014, she embarked on a career in teaching English as a Foreign Language, exam preparation classes and English for Academic Purposes. She has taught in renowned educational institutions in the UK and Greece. At King's College London, she teaches on the Pre-sessional and Foundation programmes.
Panagiota is particularly interested in multicultural education, (e-)material and course design and development, and the effective use of digital technologies to monitor learner engagement and foster student participation in online and face-to-face ELT/EAP classes. Current research interests include discourse analysis with a focus on identifying typical student errors in spoken and written communication. In her free time, she enjoys painting, cooking, travelling, and language learning.
