Dr Omar Gabriel Torres Valencia is a seasoned global health professional bringing a wealth of experience spanning clinical practice, advocacy, international project management, and international health diplomacy to the role of Policy Advisor at King's Global Health Partnerships. Originally from Mexico, Omar Gabriel holds a diverse background with degrees in Medicine, History, and International Relations, and a MSc in Global Health & Social Justice from King's College London. With a passion for advancing healthcare equity, he has worked extensively in Latin America & the Caribbean, collaborating with organisations such as Partners in Health, the PAHO/WHO and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS Tuberculosis and Malaria. His expertise in grassroots coordination, advocacy, political lobbying, and policy analysis has contributed to meaningful initiatives aimed at addressing health disparities in underprivileged communities in both the LAC region and the UK. His dedication to health diplomacy and multidisciplinary problem-solving underscores his commitment to realising the right to health for all and contribute to the mission of KGHP's to educate, train and support healthcare workers; strengthen healthcare and training institutions; enhance national and international health policies and systems, and make the right to health and healthcare a reality for all.
