
Biography
Nicola Savory is a clinical midwife and researcher with an interest in antenatal care, women's and midwives' experiences, service provision and perinatal mental health. Antenatal perinatal mental health was the topic of her PhD, completed in 2020. Previously she was a research associate at Cardiff University supporting a randomised control trial of clinical and cost-effectiveness of assets based infant feeding intervention. Nicola has recently been appointed as Research Fellow in Maternity Care and will be evaluating the implementation of the Tommy’s National Centre for Maternity Improvement’s Clinical Decision Support Tool as part of the NIHR funded PARTNER cluster randomised controlled trial.

The Maternal and Perinatal Systems and Policy (MAPS) Research Group assumes a life-course approach which is engaged with basic and clinical science research that has the potential to improve health care quality and outcomes from bench to population health, through policy relevant world class evidence synthesis, implementation and service delivery research.
