Biography

Nick Allott is a Cultural Fellow within King's College London.  

Nick is currently Managing Director at  Cameron Mackintosh Ltd. He joined Cameron Mackintosh Ltd in 1981 as Executive Producer for Cats and subsequently Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, The Phantom of the Opera, Oliver!, Mary Poppins and My Fair Lady. He is also the executive producer of the feature film of Les Misérables and both the bestselling Concert DVDs from the O2 and Royal Albert Hall and the recent 25th Anniversary of Miss Saigon.  Since 2000, he has been Managing Director of the Company. For thirteen years he has been Chairman of the Soho Theatre & Writers Centre, is on the board of the Oxford School of Drama and is also a Trustee of the iconic Roundhouse in Camden. He was a board member for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, is a member of the Mayor of London’s Cultural Strategy Group and the Advisory Board for the Creative Industries Federation. In 2013 he was appointed as one of the Prime Minister’s UK Business Ambassadors. He was awarded an OBE for services to theatre and charity by the Queen in the 2014 New Year’s Honours.
