Biography
Mina Idris is a PhD student at the Institute of Psychology, Psychiatry & Neuroscience at King's College London. She joined the LonDownS research team at King’s College London in 2020, as a Research Assistant.
In 2022, Mina Idris was awarded the Baily Thomas Doctoral Fellowship. This funding has allowed her to pursue her PhD project, entitled “Machine learning using mixed imaging, clinical and biofluid markers to reveal the early stages of progression of Alzheimer’s disease in Down syndrome”. Here, Mina aims to develop a data-driven disease progression model of Alzheimer’s disease.
Before joining King's Mina completed an MSc in Translational Neuroscience at Imperial College London and a BSc in Biological Sciences at Queen Mary University of London. Her previous research has focused on computational neuroscience and psychophysics.
