Biography
Michael Yu is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King’s College London (KCL). He leads research on people with learning disabilities and autistic individuals through the Learning from Lives and Deaths (LeDeR) program. By analysing population-based, real-world data from LeDeR, his work aims to improve care, reduce health inequalities, and prevent early deaths among these populations.
Before joining KCL, Michael was a Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD student in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the University of Hong Kong. He contributed to both quantitative and qualitative clinical studies on various paediatric conditions, including neuromuscular disorders, influenza, and asthma. His research has resulted in five first-authored publications.
