Biography

Dr Meera Alghafri, Specialist Periodontist, was awarded a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at RAK College of Dental Sciences with Honours in 2019 and earned her Master’s degree in Periodontology with Honours at Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dubai in 2024. Meera has successfully passed the membership examination of Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and is a member of the International Team for Implantology and the Academy of Osseointegration.

With a strong background in microbiological research field, her interests in periodontology research include bacterial biofilms, host-microbiome interactions, adjunctive periodontal therapies, and antimicrobial resistance genes.
